  • Brentford 2 Bury 2

An excellent battling performance yielded a valuable and highly creditable point from Bury's trip to Brentford. A first goal for the ever improving Tom Soares and a second from Nicky Ajose since his return, saw the Shakers come back twice after falling behind in the second half.

Kevin Blackwell recently said Bury are a team that is hard to beat, and draws at Brentford and MK Dons, plus the recent win against Doncaster seems to be backing up his point.

Trouble with this result though, is that Scunthorpe, Oldham and Colchester all won so now we're five points from safety. There's obviously nothing we can do about that though, and a point away at Brentford is still a good result. Its Sheffield United on Tuesday night and Coventry on Saturday. I've got a feeling about the Sheffield United game as its Blackwell against his former club, who haven't shown the best of form recently. Coventry are beatable too so the next few days could be interesting.
