    Bury 2 Doncaster Rovers 0

    by The Boy Holty

Bury chalked up their first win in 10 league games and only their 5th all season as they defeated 2nd place Doncaster Rovers at Gigg Lane today.

By all accounts it was an excellent Shakers performance and the result was much deserved. Our first goal, and you're not going to believe this, was a glancing header scored by Andy Bishop. No really! Our second came from Nicky Ajose as he finished with style from Skarz.

It was two nil at half time and throughout the game Bury were dominant.

There were good performances in defence which kept a clean sheet for the second successive game, and that's got to be good news.

All in all it was a good day for bury who, whilst still in the bottom four, are now up to 21st place and hopefully in line for a push for safety.

    Up the Shakers.
