    The Retained List

    by The Boy Holty

After the euphoria of promotion, Flicker has been getting back to work and has been planning for next season. Today he has announced his retained list.

    Some players are leaving:

Jim McNulty - who I thought did very well, but hasn't featured much since Cameron and El-Abd had such a good second half of the season. Good luck Jimmy lad.

Joe Thompson - didn't play much if at all and has been attracting interest from north of the border - he leaves with our best wishes

Pablo Mills - after a god start for Bury he went to Cheltenham on loan, but they let him come back after they were relegated - I liked Pablo 'Dark Satanic' Mills and wish him well.

Nicky Adams - this is the only real surprise although he had become a bit part player. No doubt he will come back and play against us and the dickhead fans who always abused him when he was a Rochdale player will be able to do so again. We wish Nicky all the very best in his future career.

Chris Sedgwick has retired and is beginning a new career as a financial advisor. Good luck Sedge.

Some players are out of contract but DF wants to keep them. They are Rob Lainton and Danny Nardiello.

There are six or seven of our highly successful youth team that have been offered professional contracts. They are Scott Burgess, Matt Foulds, Anthony Dudley, Jack Ruddy, Marcus Poshca, Brayden Shaw. We hope for great things from these future Shakers.

Some players are staying - everyone else.
