FA Cup second round: Bury v Luton Town
by The Boy Holty
In what will be a mouth-watering tie, Bury will play Luton Town in the FA Cup second round on or around December 6th.
I wouldn't be surprised if it were televised, or at least moved to the Sunday as its a hot prospect in terms of league two as probably the two best sides in the league will battle it out for a chance to meet a Premier League side in the third round.
Bury have home advantage and with nine consecutive home wins in all competitions (prior to tonight's visit of Tranmere in the JPT), we have to fancy our chances but we can take nothing for granted.
Bury already have that £18,000 in the bank for winning our first round tie, and this one will probably generate a decent crowd so already its been a fairly lucrative campaign for the club, but this is where the chairmen of clubs like ours start getting pound signs in their eyes as the big boys get ready to join in.
Personally I think its a great draw and I can't wait for it, but by no means do I think it will be easy. It's going to be a tough one and no mistake. I don't think I've ever been as excited about an FA Cup match.
