    No wins in 7
by The Boy Holty (March 26, 2014)

We haven't picked up any wins wince thrashing Mansfield 4-1, and while there's only been a couple of bad results amongst those, we are still uncomfortably close to the relegation zone. We'll be ok obviously, but a win or two would make the run-in a bit more enjoyable.

    thick & thin (March 26, 2014)
It's difficult to fault DF considering the all round improvement since his arrival. Only at this late stage of the season is anything like a 'mid table' developing. In reality all teams are still either playing to be promoted (obviously via the play-offs in many cases) or avoid relegation. I don't remember a season like it and under normal circumstances the bottom 2 in the division would be fairly well adrift by now.

Richie Barker and Steve Coppell continue to work their magic at Pompey who could possibly be relegated by the result at Gigg near the end of the season. What an amazing prospect to consider Pompey playing at Alfreton, Woking, Nuneaton etc.

Should Rochdale be promoted it will be quite a financial loss at Gigg. With this season's average gate just over 3000 and approximately 2000 season ticket holders SD must be subsidising matchday revenue to an enormous degree. I feel Bury really must be promoted in the next 2 seasons to keep him interested.

I read that Orient supporters were booing at the end of their latest match having failed to beat Oldham. Ridiculous considering what has been achieved at Orient. A timely reminder that all Clubs have their share of unreasonable 'supporters'. Its just that in small crowds like Orient's and Bury's their voice is heard too loudly. I hope that Bury's moaners don't demoralise SD and DF as with previous owners/managers. Its difficult to see a future in the Football League for Bury without SD's backing.
